Arbokem has been engaged in the science and technology of sterols, and their derivatives, for more than 20 years.

Sterols are wax alcohols which occur naturally in all plants. Their functions include imparting flexibility to the cell wall and to regulate the permeability of water across the cellular membrane.

In the field of human health, sterols have been found to help improve the immune system, ameliorate prostatic disorders and reduce blood cholesterol levels, with virtually no adverse side effects.
